Summer Intensive with Dan Allcott

Summer conductor Dan Allcott and Artistic Director Alice St. Clair create a differently themed program each Summer. Maestro Allcott marshalls his many years of experience as a conductor, cellist, and educator to create delightful and challenging programs for both youth and adult string players. From exploring ballet and opera to making connections between folk and classical music, this program takes Eastport Strings participants to a new level each year.

Summer Guest Artist

Eastport Strings sponsors one visiting guest artist or artist group each summer. Guests perform public concerts and present master classes, semi-private lessons, and private lessons to Eastport Strings participants. These guests bring new and different perspectives into practicing, repertoire, and performance. Their excellence in performance inspires all Eastport Strings participants. Their public concerts are a highlight of greater Eastport's yearly arts calendar.

Guest artists are selected based on their musical excellence, teaching abilities, and spirit of generosity in working with string players of all ages and abilities.
